THE-TREE Institute, which stands for THEatre for Transformation & Radical Education for Evolution, also known as THE-TREEE, is made up of grassroots collectives who share knowledge, resources, and power. We are immigrants and/or refugees, rural and urban, women, youth, men, artists, and educators.
THE-TREE is governed by a Collective Board of five members who represent two or more of those categories, and several also are representives of our community partner organizations located in several cities of Oregon. They are: Claudia Montano, Maria Antonia Sanchez, Rosemary Ramirez, Guadalupe Ramirez and Adolfo Mirabal.
THE-TREE has a CHARLA Collective Advisory group of community leaders, who together with the organizations’s board, define strategic directions of the CHARLA program, developing its sustainability, plan and implement with local community members the collective advocacy actions and events productions.
