CHARLA* LEGISLATIVE FORUM THEATRE: Health Equity is for the Health of the Majority

This event will highlight the needs of the most vulnerable community members and give them the opportunity to become policymakers with the support of the Legislative Forum Board members, one of whom will be you.

The evening will be an opportunity for community and policy makers to collectively identify and analyze health and economic inequities that exist in our public policy and to advocate for systemic reform of these inequities through legislative action.

CHARLA Performs at Health Action Day

CHARLA (Collective Health Advocacy for Latinas/os in Action), which means DIALOGUE, performed for over 350 people at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem, on earlier this spring as part of the Oregon Health Action Campaign’s rally for Oregon Health Reform. A group of 12 members, including a child, of the collectives MUJER & Spect-Actors also met with the legislators from Gresham to tell their stories and ask support for their community health issues.
